The Importance of Magha Puja Day

     It is the day when the Budha preached Ovadapatimokkha (the Principle Teaching) in the middle of the Sangha assembly. Four important situations happened simultaneously in that day:-

     1. 1,250 Arahantas came to assemble simultaneously without agreement at Velubana temple, Pajagriha of Magath.

     2. All of these Arahantas were ordained by Lord Buddha himself whom are called "Ehibhikkhu UpasampadaW

     3. All of these attained Arahatta are aware of Abhinna 6. (superhnowledge)

     4. The day stay on the full moon day of Magha Purnami, the 15 th day of the third lunar month.

     This day is generally known in other word as "Caturanga Sannipata" meant the day of the assembly together with four parts.
